We are currently seeking a Buyer for our Merchandising Department located at corporate headquarters in Kennesaw, Georgia. This position is responsible for the co-development and execution of product strategies and has profit and loss accountability for respective categories.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide direction to the team on execution of the strategy designed in partnership with the Category Manager.
Develop category plans based upon strategic plan and ensure that the team executes the product strategies in alignment with the strategic plan.
Fully engage in the buying processes for a category, developing vendor relations, product selection, negotiations, promotion planning and communications with inventory and store planning teams to ensure product is in stock and displayed correctly to planogram.
Responsible for specific category full lifecycle buying including planning, analysis, assortment selection, advertising/promotion, and planogram.
Manage processes across staff to ensure consistency and quality of plan execution.
Help set category and individual objectives and hold team accountable for meeting objectives.
Develop and manage staff.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
International business experience is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of merchandising experience.
Inventory management experience required.
Management and team development experience.
Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) and management skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Superior attention to details.
Ability to use a personal computer and intermediate to advanced proficiency in office productivity software (e.g., MS Office Suite), especially Excel.
Ability to maintain composure in dealing with executives, vendors, prospects, and staff, in group settings and in situations requiring high performance and results.
