Bamboo should be stored inside the room where it will be installed for at least three days to acclimate to the humidity of the room to prevent warping. |

Make sure your sub-floor is clean, free of any debris, leveled and properly installed before you start. Also check the moisture content of your sub-floor to ensure it’s in a suitable range within manufacturer’s specifications. |

When attaching bamboo to a wood sub-floor, use staples instead of nails. |
|
When attaching bamboo to a cement sub-floor, it’s important to use the proper glue and trowel for the type of sub-floor you have – above-grade or below-grade – and then follow the glue manufacturer’s recommendations. |

All wood flooring is subject to expansion and contraction. Be certain to leave proper expansion gaps as required by the manufacturer’s specifications. |
