Bamboo Installation

Installation Considerations
Bamboo should be stored inside the room where it will be installed for at least three days to acclimate to the humidity of the room to prevent warping.
Make sure your sub-floor is clean, free of any debris, leveled and properly installed before you start. Also check the moisture content of your sub-floor to ensure it’s in a suitable range within manufacturer’s specifications.
When attaching bamboo to a wood sub-floor, use staples instead of nails.
When attaching bamboo to a cement sub-floor, it’s important to use the proper glue and trowel for the type of sub-floor you have – above-grade or below-grade – and then follow the glue manufacturer’s recommendations.
All wood flooring is subject to expansion and contraction. Be certain to leave proper expansion gaps as required by the manufacturer’s specifications.
