Solid Hardwood Flooring Solid wood flooring is typically milled from a single piece of hardwood that comes is a range of thicknesses. Thanks to the thickness, a solid hardwood floor can be sanded and refinished over and over again, and can last for 100 years! They can be installed at or above ground level.
