Installation Considerations
It’s a good idea to lay out your marble floor before installing it. This way, you can arrange the tiles in a pleasing pattern.
Because all stone flooring is porous, make sure the underlying surface is clear of materials that may bleed through and discolor the stone.
Since marble cannot be cut with tile cutters or nippers, make sure you have access to a saw with a diamond blade.
As with all natural stone, we recommend sealing any marble with a suitable sealer.
Since most sub-floors are not thick enough, we recommend adding a cement backerboard.
